Within our interactive workshop model, we encourage participants to challenge the myths of ability, grouping, fixed time and curriculum, lesson planning, testing, and grading as they work together to develop and use a Portrait of a Learner to implement practices that support the knowledge, dispositions, and skill-sets that learners need to thrive in life - not just in school.

We believe that learning success begins with understanding the assets and strengths of every child, adolescent, and teen, regardless of their life circumstances. We begin with the premise that every student comes to us not knowing less but knowing different.
We help educators build locally effective plans to break through the limitations that life can impose on our children. We bring deep experience from work with educators, whether in rural Iowa or suburban New York, southern Illinois or New England towns, and a fresh perspective through onsite and virtual engagement with educators to develop strategies that positively impact and bring opportunity to every child.
